MY GRAY cat with orange streaks (the Vet calls it "blue and cream") sits by the computer monitor gazing out the window. Across the way are a large noisy household of starling immigrants. Some of them are exploring our house, their own space becoming inadequate since they have raised several families over there in the yellow house's eaves. They fly here to a vine that ran up the telephone wire a few inches from this window. The cat goes wild as they fly straight toward her then veer up to the vine. She has the avid intensity of a 14-year-old boy playing shoot-'em-ups on the computer! I hope to post a picture, though it's a hard shot with the monitor blocking much of the view and light behind the cat.
