Croci

A gang of crocuses - school bus yellow -- have smashed into bloom today. Although they are quite short, they are acting like "big kids," taking over the school yard as if it were their own.

In fact, it is their own. Nothing else is in bloom and the daffodil tips in that location are still tiny. In a different bed, the daffodils are very short, but have buds already, due to the unseasonable warmth. Unseasonable dryness, too, may be having an effect. I believe blossoms often come with stress.
