Snow! arrgh
I wrote on 3/15 that it seemed that April was here, and that I wanted to rake away the leaf cover. I did not, lest there be a late frost. I doubted there would be, given the warm winter and early spring; but this mornng I see snow falling. It is more like sleet, actually , leaving a fine glim on cold surfaces. Crocuses won't mind-- they are used to the cold. Daffodil buds could be nipped; iris, daylily, and chrysanthemum shoots could be blackened.
